Design: The ORIGIN’s design has been optimized to guarantee as much lightness and comfort as possible. With our staggered seams, the fabric and its seams work better to keep a smooth and efficient profile and to reduce the deformation of the wing’s shape under load. The control of the profile is ideal to guarantee total stability and comfort during the ride. Small radial cuts are implemented on the wingtips and on the back of the strut to spread tensions. Aligning the fibre exactly along the load paths means that stretch can be controlled to a never-before-seen level on a wing. Located on the back of the strut, our refined Load Diffuser made of overlapping panels of hard Mylar and Dacron further helps maintaining the profile sleek and efficient, leading to the ultimate stability, performances, and longevity. The strut and the two central segments of the leading edge on each side of the strut are made of HITEX 158g. This high tenacity polyester offers great resistance to elongation and therefore greater durability and performances. The remaining segments of the leading edge are made of Dacron 150g to guarantee lightness and comfort. The ORIGIN’s canopy is in TECHNOFORCE™/D2 in 52g, while the thicker TECHNOFORCE™/D2 in 66g is on the trailing edge. These materials are perfectly distributed to account for the different tensions, high pressures, and weight distribution of each area. The central strut is completely straight, which allows us to better control its deformation and possible twisting, while reducing drag. As a result, the infill is a bit lower and deforms less, and is extended almost all the way to the back. Combining fantastic stability and effortless maneuverability, the ORIGIN is a versatile wing perfectly suited for rapid progression and endless fun on the water.

ROCKET WING MIDLENGTH

By trading thickness for extra length, these latest MIDLENGTH boards now offer better balance and better glide in light winds. The improved volume distribution—especially in the nose—provides greater stability, while the more rounded bottom at the front enhances glide, hence leading to smoother take-offs and touchdowns. Thanks to a slightly wider tail, stability is preserved while the slim outline and parallel rails promote glide and speed during take-off. The step on the bottom near the tail creates a clean break to channel the water flow at the back without generating excessive drag when in motion. The removal of the central step on the bottom, previously in front of the twin-tracks, makes the board compatible with Foil Drives. The overall redesign of the board sheds volume from each board size compared to the first edition. For example, the former 5’10 MIDLENGTH board is equivalent to a 6’2 in this new range, boasting a volume of 95L compared to 120L for the same size previously. Thanks to its new shape, the ROCKET SUP DW packs more volume into a narrower design, offering enhanced glide and stability without compromising ease of use. These boards are very stable thanks to their parallel outline and very boxy rails in the central part. In turn, they have a lot more glide, making them much easier to paddle and take-off with. With a slightly revised nose and bottom, the ROCKET SUP DW is more tolerant and user-friendly during the take-off phase as well. A large kick at the tail lets the rider pump the board without plunging the tail in the water at every pump. A second small step on the hull was added closer to the tail, on top of the one already present in front of the twin tracks. These two steps effectively reduce drag during take-off accelerations and touchdowns. The second step helps create a clean break to channel the water flow at the back without generating excessive drag when in motion. It will also limit the speed drop on occasional touchdowns. Once on the foil, the ROCKET SUP DW is extremely intuitive, stable and comfortable thanks to an ease to pump and turn. The subtle, recessed cockpit-like deck is now a bit more pronounced, packing a bit more volume in the front and back, and bringing you closer to the foil, leading to excellent control of the board in-flight. With its outstanding and easy take-off abilities, this board will satisfy all riders and make downwind further accessible to those who always wanted to try. It is also incredible with a wing in lighter winds, and it can surf really well, even in very small waves. Take off far outside on non-breaking waves and make the most of the board’s maneuverability and direct feeling to surf until the shore break.
