AXIS Spitfire front wing Priekinis sparnas

Imagine a dedicated surf foiling wing, that lets you foil waves like a surfer would. If you’re anything like us, you’ve been dreaming of an effortless turning wing, that inspires confidence when dropping in, that has a gentle, predictable easy lift up onto foil. A foil that not only handles breaches but encourages them. No wave is the same, sometimes you need a turn of speed, and on another, you need to slow right down but stay on foil. A wing you can just forget about and get on with the business of enjoying yourself. Of course, that wing has to be capable of pumping you back out to do it all again and again. The wait is over, meet the AXIS Spitfire. You’ll recognise it by its distinctive elliptical outline, straight median line and lack of aggressive turndown through the tips. Moderate chord lengths, that taper smoothly from the centre to the tips, encourage smooth, predictable but precise turning. Reduced foil thickness for enhanced top end to compliment the greater chords providing easy low end. Many of these attributes are shared by the ARTPRO Range of wings, and in fact much of what we learned in the development of that line fed into the Spitfire’smake-up. Through the development process, we put the Spitfire through its paces. The smaller sizes are fast with explosive turning. The larger sizes are great for smaller spots and larger riders. The Spitfires are versatile front wings, able to ride waves or flat water across prone, SUP, winging, wake, downwind, lake pumping and kite foiling disciplines. They do it all. AXIS Spitfire 1180 front wing Priekinis sparnas

The Spitfire 1180 is the result of extensive development to bring a bigger Spitfireto market for the big guys and those riders whose local spots offer more marginal conditions. Spitfire 1180 diverges from the rest of the Spitfire family with an increased camber of 2.75% (More curve that creates lift. The other Spitfires and ART PRO’s are 2.5%) - the result: •⁠  ⁠A very well-balanced foil, •⁠  ⁠⁠foils up easily and feels comfortable immediately, •⁠  ⁠lift distribution is equal at speed and during acceleration, •⁠  ⁠a quick and predictable recovery from breaches and tip-outs, •⁠  ⁠⁠turns very nicely and smoothly, •⁠  ⁠⁠has remarkable low-end and prolonged slower-paced glide. The Spitfire 1180 is a great wing for those getting into down-winding. It doesn’t need to run as fast as the ART PRO 1201 or 1401 making it easy to stay on the bump. Turning and control are amazing for such a large wing, making downwind riding achievable for almost everyone.  We feel it’s exactly the right time for this foil, offering a less torturous in-road on the downwind journey. As a dock and pump wing, the Spitfire 1180 is easy and forgiving to start, fun and surprisingly nimble to play with, and as such, is rapidly becoming a favourite among our dock starting and pump team riders. The Spitfire 1180 is a light-wind wing foiling and small/weak wave SUP weapon. It has easy lift and is user-friendly, it shares the same easy predictable nature that has made the rest of the Spitfire range so popular in all disciplines, and now the bigger guys can enjoy them too. For the wake crew, the Spitfire 1180 can ride any wake from the 1st to the 10th and will be a go-to for the larger guys. Through the development process, we put the Spitfire through its paces. The key to the unique performance of the AXIS Fireball foil range is its all-new high-lift/low-drag foil section, with outlines featuring aspect ratio 13 and ULTRA high modulus carbon construction, tested and refined over a multitude of iterations by our devoted AXIS team. This refined performance leap is here now, and yours to enjoy. The AXIS Fireball front wings are our highest performance foils to date, that are very easy to use, with better stability across a much broader (and higher) speed range than we have ever achieved before. And don't let the reduced surface area of the Fireball series phaze you. These foils have some serious range. What makes the AXIS Fireball foils so unique? ULTRA high modulus carbon construction. These thin, skinny, super high-aspect foils demand the stiffest construction, allowing you to extract every ounce of performance out of the foil section from tip to tip. Aspect Ratio (AR) 13 - super high aspect design - promotes reduced drag, allowing you to pump faster and with more forward projection than ever before, you can run with swells, go up and over easier and chase down bumps in front of you.

  • high-lift, low-drag Fireballs have incredible lift and carry, simply refusing to stall where other foils would have dropped out long ago. This unique lift and carry design allows you to get flying earlier, and with less effort. Dreaded touchdowns can now be pumped out of with relative ease.
Overall Increased efficiency means advanced riders will be able to reduce foil area substantially, so you can conserve energy gain in speed and range while completing longer runs. You can choose a slightly reduced span, or ride approximately 200cm² less surface area than previously with the Fireball range. The Fireball’s new foil section is very pitch stable which allows riders to drop down one or two skinny rear wing sizes. This further increases speed and reduces drag. Meet the AXIS Fireball Range The Fireball 1070 (877 sq cm AR 13.07) is the foil of choice to conserve energy and shatter your distance and time-on-foil records. For breaking in new runs, or those days where the wind just isn't as strong or consistent as forecasted or the swell just isn’t kicking. The Fireball 1070 refuses to stall and come down, while still super playful and surfy when you give it that heel-and-toe pressure. The Fireball 1000 (773 sq cm AR 12.95) is capable of sub 2:00 min/km pace and effortless ultra-long-distance runs in high seas. This channel-crossing ocean racer is the benchmark for intermediate to advanced foilers, in average to nuking downwind conditions, and must be tried to be believed. The Fireball 940 (689 sq cm AR12.84) is the weapon of choice for advanced downwind riders in nuking conditions. The 940 paddles up like a much larger foil, with the speed and glide to run with the fastest ocean swells, perform ups and overs effortlessly and chase down bumps far in front. Expect to set new pace records with the Fireball 940. The Fireball 880 (604 sq cm AR12.82) is for advanced and lighter riders in fully nuking conditions. When you're on top of your game and ready to get from A top B in record time, the Fireball 880 is your foil of choice. Prone foilers will love the Fireballs blazing speeds and efficient pump, allowing you to connect more waves and ripping through high speed carves on the smallest foils. Connect endless waves in light conditions on the 1070, and take your carve and pump game to another level when the swell is hitting on the 880. Intermediate to Advanced level Wingfoilers will love the entire Fireball range. They are quick, stable and easy to get going, allowing riders to downsize, in both span and surface area without compromising low-end performance. Fuselages: the Fireballs are best paired with the Short Advanced + fuselage for long distance downwind runs, or the Ultrashort Advanced + fuselage for shorter runs and a surfier feel. Rear wings: the Fireballs are best paired with the smaller chord Skinny rears, with the 359/40 and 358/35 providing the minimal drag to reach their potential. Our Current Black fuselage range is perfectly suited to the majority of riders across all disciplines, while these new Black ADVANCE+ fuselages are not intended to replace them but provide options for performance and a more connected feel when pushing the limits. If you are an intermediate or expert surf / wave foiler, this could be a great upgrade for you. A consideration when moving the mast position on the fuselage forward is that the effective length of the rear fuselage back to the rear stabilizing foil is increased by the distance the mast moves forward. When choosing your Advance Black Fuselage, it’s advisable to take this into consideration and perhaps opt for a length shorter than you are used to using. If you’re currently using an Ultrashort, you might consider the Crazyshort instead. Available in Short, Ultrashort, Crazyshort and Sillyshort  and Psychoshort (just 520mm). Compared to our Standard Black fuselage range, the Advance+ provide a looser, faster transition from side-to-side. The sensation our testers liked it for is similar to the sensation of moving fins forward in the tracks on a surfboard, initiating turns becomes easier, which is great in the surf. There is a small trade-off, this ease of turning comes as at the expense of some tracking and speed stability. (So expect to have a small effect on upwind ability when winging and a need to adjust pumping technique slightly. If you are into ultra high speed big wave riding, you should consider the regular black fuselages instead). With the mast set further forward on the fuselage, your baseplate position needs to be further forward in the boxes to position the wings in the same position as the normal Black fuselage In an effort to reduce our cardboard footprint, these new Black ADVANCE+ fuselages come with our new custom fuselage protective covers, and no paper / cardboard boxes.

AXIS Black Crazyshort Advance+ Fuselage

NEW for the Black Advance+ Series we have added a discretely placed Zinc Anode, which we have integrated into the front wing attachment area. All AXIS Black Advance+ Fuselage have updated shapes and are now shipped with all the screws you need to attach your favorite wings and mast. These are pre-lubed, ready to ride straight out of the bag. If you're into pushing the envelope in wave riding (Prone, SUP, Wing or Wake) these will blow your mind.
